Question: I am buying a home from a builder, and the builder added a clause that i couldnt sell the house for 12 months?
i would think this is illegal…..it reads the following;
Buyer will not openly market the unit, or allow another party to openly market unit for a 1 year period starting on the date of the close of escrow on the purchase of the unit of the buyer. The term “openly market” means any marketing efforts including, without limitation, (a) listing the unit with any licensed real estate agent or listing in the Multiple Listing Service or its equivalent (b) advertising the unit as “for sale” in any manner including, without limitation, any form of media or physical signage
If this was legal, i would think lenders would put this is in loan documents long ago. Instead, lenders utilize prepayment penalties…… i need to find the statute that protects individuals and enables them to sell real property at any given time

Question: Exactly what horrible jobs are illegal immigrants sparing us from having to do?
The most common argument I hear in favor of forgiving illegal immigrants and letting them stay is that “they’re doing the jobs that Americans refuse to.” The wording is so similar each time that I’m starting to wonder if this is the result of some kind of weird mass hypnotism. I live in Irving, TX so I’ve met more than a few Hispanics. None of them pick fruit, let alone for ten dollars a day.
Even if there’s a grain of truth to these accusations, I’m getting sick and tired of hearing the average American get blamed for the immigration crisis because he/she refuses to be exploited and abused in sweatshop conditions. Instead of anyone daring to suggest that companies who “can’t find American workers” be allowed to languish and go out of business, people seem to think that the solution lies in finding SOMEBODY to be exploited so that big business owners don’t have to cut into their thick profit margins or God forbid, raise prices! (I understand economics well enough to know that spiking prices will cause demand to wither until whatever’s at stake – be it meat or computers – becomes worth the cost again.)
If there’s someone who really believes that illegal immigrant fill a valuable role in America’s job market, speak up and tell us all just what jobs are VITAL to the function of our country and cannot be staffed by American workers because we’re too spoiled and lazy to get our hands dirty? Before some yahoo suggests that we would all starve if not for the archetypal “bean picker” keeping produce prices affordable, keep in mind that 95% of the fruits and vegetables you eat are harvested by MACHINE.
El loco has proven my point by blaming Americans for refusing to work under the same conditions as immigrants! You’re basically saying that since we refuse to be exploited, the immigration crisis is all our fault. Did you ever stop to think that the reason Americans DEMAND things like livable wages, vacation pay, retirement plans and sick leave is because we think we’re worth being treated like human beings instead of disposable garbage?!? By feeding illegal immigrants to the companies who would exploit and abuse their workers, we’re making them richer and more powerful. What kind of job do you have that you think worker benefits are just needless goodies demanded by the lazy and greedy? Let me guess, you don’t work! If you do, you’re either a hypocrite because you enjoy those unreasonable benefits or you’re bitter because you can’t find a decent job so you figure nobody else should have one either. Thumbs down from me!

Question: How do I get my rental deposit back from a decised landloard?
I was “sub renting” a room in a large house and the leaseholder recentally deceased. I’ve been moved out a month now and still no word on my deposit. When I moved in I was under the impression this women owned the house, turns out she was only renting but had lived there 10 years. I cleaned up & moved out almost immeaditally after her passing. Her family member did my final walk threw inspection and was happy with the condition I left the room in.
The family member said they would contact me about my deposit in a month after the “estate sale” I finally got back intouch and he clameshe us not responsable for my landloards debts and that I need to file a clame with “probate” in Boulder CO (I live in California)!!
The only info I have is the case #. I didn’t sign anything upon moving in but I do have Copys of the checks(s). Some was paid in cash.. A total of $ 800.

You will need to check with your state laws. I live in Michigan, and under the security deposit act, a landlord may not unlawfully hold your security deposit without a specific purpose.
I.E.) The use of security deposits is governed by Michigan P.A. 348,1972. Your lease cannot waive any of your rights under the Security Deposit Act. A security deposit has a specific purpose: to reimburse the landlord for damage to the rental unit, unpaid rent, or unpaid utility bills left by the tenant. (See “Security Deposit.”)
Question: Do you think the 2 Guys from the show “American Pickers” are Dirt Bags?
* If so what makes you see them as Dirt Bags? They almost seem as used car sales men.
* I think they are dirt bags because the are trying to take advantage of the owners of the stuff they want to buy and to get something for nothing but only have themselves in mind.

I have never seen this show but all car sales people are dirty bags. When I went to by my car a few years bag we were leaving after making the sale and I said to my husband “Did he not just give you the creeps he was so sleazy and pushy.”
Question: Is Mike Wolfe from “American Pickers” the nerdiest person on TV?
In almost every episode he speaks of sone item getting his “juices flowing” and multiple times says how rare it is for something to get his “juices flowing”. Also his laugh alone puts him in the running for biggest nerd on TV.
