Question: What do I do about my real estate property?
I am in a partnership with a friend. We both own the duplex, but all the paperwork is under my name because of my credit. I want to sell it but if I do then it will be a “short sale.” I want to get rid of it because I paid to high of a price for it. What do I do because my partner wants to wait a few more years to sell.

I guess I should not judge because I don’t know your situation, but I will anyway.
If you paid to high then that was a mistake. If you sell now that may very well be a second mistake because you may have to sell to low.
This is a mistake that almost everyone makes. The great mass of people end up buying to high and selling to low. That is why most people end up poor at the end of their lives.
Pay attention to your partner, don’t make a second mistake out of a hurried attempt to forget about the first.

Question: How does one go about getting antique items at “an estate sale”-ads in newspapers? or what exactly?

I’m not sure I understand this question.
However, if you are asking how to advertise antique furniture you own and wish to sell and wish to do that in a newspaper ? . . . just contact the news paper and ask about their “classified” listings and costs for advertising there.
If you wish ~ again assuming that you are the one selling the furniture of other items you could consider a local auction house that sells estate works in particular
Question: How do i learn about real estate “short sales” without spending money to learn?
I would like to know how to get involved with real estate “short sales”…I love customer service, but I want out of retail and the R.E.S.S. breed of service can save a lot of people a lot of money, as apposed to convincing them to spend more money as you so often find yourself doing in the retail environment. However, I don’t have money to spend on seminars, boot-camps and other such conveniences or money traps (should that be the case). I would really appreciate anyone who would be willing to take their time to teach me at no cost up front…and i have no problem arranging appropriate kickbacks for the kindness once I get going. Thank you in advance for your time.

Are you talking about representing sellers in a short sale? If so, you have to become a licensed real estate agent first.
If you’re talking about buying properties that are being sold as a short sale in order to buy them cheap and flip them, there are a million books at the library. I read one called Millionaire Real Estate Mentor (or something close to that) that was pretty informative.
